Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as Duluth Destroyers outscored Peachtree Ridge 9-8 in six innings.
The teams totaled 17 hits, including seven extra base hits in the game.
Dylan Cates pulled double duty, leading Duluth Destroyers on both offense and defense in the win.

Dylan Cates did all he could to give Duluth Destroyers a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Grayson, as Duluth Destroyers lost 8-4 in six innings at Field #1 on Sunday.
It was a good day at the plate for Duluth Destroyers' Cates. Cates went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the sixth inning.
Payton Shaddix recorded the win for Grayson. He tossed three innings of shutout ball. The Grayson pitcher struck out one, walked three and surrendered no hits.
Grayson was sparked by Davis Ray and Shaddix, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.
The bottom of the first saw Duluth Destroyers take an early lead, 2-0. Cates started the rally for Duluth Destroyers with a single. A stolen base then moved Cates from first to second. Brandon Cothren doubled, plating Cates and Cole Paschall.
Grayson went up for good in the third, scoring three runs on an RBI single by Donald Perteet and a two-run triple by Ray.
Grayson built upon its lead with four runs in the fourth. The inning got off to a hot start when Sam Warren singled, scoring Evan Sturgill. That was followed up by Hunter Burnett's triple, scoring Connor Sims and Warren.

It didn't take long for Hebron to answer as it scored four runs of its own in the third. Hebron scored on a solo home run by Taylor, an error, a steal of home by Zach Richardson, and a steal of home by James Civelli.
The game's last lead went to Hebron thanks to a fifth inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on an RBI double by Civelli and two triples.

Dylan Cates hit into a fielder's choice to start the sixth. He then went from first to second on a stolen base. Finally, Doggett came to the plate with the score tied at two in the sixth inning, and tripled, scoring Cates.
Doggett had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits.

Brandon Cothren, Cole Paschall, and Ethan Doggett tallied nine strikeouts and walked eight in completing the no-no.

Norcross and Duluth Destroyers played to an 11-11 tie on Monday.
The top of the first saw Duluth Destroyers take an early lead, 3-0. Christian Marquez singled to ignite Duluth Destroyers' offense. A single by Dylan Cates then moved Marquez from first to second. Then a steal of home by Marquez scored Marquez. The scoreboard lit up again for Duluth Destroyers when Cates scored and Cothren scored.

Duluth Destroyers dropped a 12-1 decision to Grayson at Field #1 on Sunday.
Jacob Cates got on base one time in the game for Duluth Destroyers.
Grayson was led by a flawless day at the dish by D Perteet, who went 1-1 against Duluth Destroyers' pitching. Perteet singled in the first inning.
Duluth Destroyers couldn't get anything going so long as E Sturgill toed the rubber. Duluth Destroyers managed just one hit off of the Grayson's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his four innings of work.
Grayson closer P Shaddix put away the final three outs to record the save.
Duluth Destroyers blew out North GA Outlaws 10-0 on Saturday at Alberta Banks Park after pouring on nine runs in the fourth inning.
Ethan Doggett racked up two RBIs on two hits for Duluth Destroyers. Doggett doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fourth inning.
North GA Outlaws had no answer for Dylan Cates, who cruised on the mound. North GA Outlaws managed just one hit off of Cates, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out six during his three innings of work.
